Katherine Motyka

Founder @ Jompéame

The second female Dominican to be accepted at Singularity University at NASA, Katherine graduated first in her class on Industrial Engineering and earned a scholarship to study Materials and Manufacturing Science in Jonkoping University, Sweden. But it is after completing her studies that she discovered the world of entrepreneurship, winning the competitive Startup Weekend Santo Domingo competition twice within a very short time.

On 2013, Katherine was selected as a member of Global Startup Youth, traveling to Malaysia to learn more on global trends in youth entrepreneurship, which now applies to her own startup, a local crowdfunding platform. What free time she has left, she employs it as an active volunteer for the non-profit organizations and coordinating the logistics of Civil Innovation Lab events.

On 2014, she was accepted to Clinton Global Initiative University in Arizona, among thousands of young applicants from around the world.
